The people who are really going to change Africa are going to be the young people with the ideas, with the energy, the time and the will. So, you still have all that energy and all those ideas to make a difference, and that’s great. When we look at how our population is going to grow over the next 20 years, we’re going to double. So, if you can think of a city like, let’s say Johannesburg, is going to be double.
As an African woman, it was a great pleasure to be back in Cape Verde and see its evolution. In the context of the Conference “Cape Verde: Challenges of the Future”, promoted by the Portuguese National News Agency Lusa on October 11, 2019, in Praia, Cape Verde, I shared my vision as an African businesswoman for the future of Cape Verde and Africa.
I like to be close to the students because their energy inspires me a lot and I hope someday to be able to repay them not only with my experience and advice, but especially with the job and training opportunities that I am committed to creating. It is in this spirit that I award 10 merit-based scholarships to students at the University of Cape Verde.
In Brussels, during the ECR Africa Summit 2019, which took place in the European Parliament, Isabel dos Santos gave an interview to Afrika Europe.
During Africa – Russia panel at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019, I shared my perspective about Africa and called for more Russian investment in our continent.

I always find it inspiring to listen to the teams and to get to know their challenges and achievements on the path that we tread together. I share snippets of those conversations with some of the engineers at Efacec who have helped place their company at the centre of the electric mobility revolution.
I have been very proud to see Efacec changing the current paradigm, as it contributes to the building of electric mobility’s future.
